Title:  Near-infrared brain imaging for stroke rehabilitation

Abstract:  The implicit goal of this project is to help advance the near-infrared brain monitoring technology, and the associated imaging and data analysis processes, for use in a clinical (stroke rehabilitation) setting.

Title:  Near-infrared brain imaging for space medicine

Abstract:  The implicit goal of this project is to advance and further validate the near-infrared brain imagin (NIRI) technique while at the same time enhancing our understanding of the fMRI BOLD signal. The latter effect comes about from the simultaneous acquisition of BOLD and NIRI signals, allowing the comparison of BOLD responses to coincident, regional oxyhemoglobin, deoxyhemoglobin and total hemoglobin concentractions.

Title:  Diffuse optical imaging of intracranial pressure changes

Abstract:  This project is funded by a NIBIB RFA titled "Low-cost medical imaging devices" and as such, the purpose of our project is to help develop NIRI into a non-invasive tool useful for monitoring the hemodynamic sequelae of altered intracranial pressure.

Title:  Reconfigurable Network of Networks for Multi-Scale Computing

Abstract:  This is a computational project aimed at further developing a patented software technology for the control of multiple, autonomous agents in the face of limited communications bandwidth and agent failure.

Title:  Rapid Image Enhancement in Turbid Environments

Abstract:  This computational project aims to enhance a patented computational architecture for the purpose of image enhancement under conditions of inhomogeneous noise.
