The main features of the HF-1 hardware system are:

  • Variable sampling rate of up to 20 kHz per channel.
  • User selectable bandwidth from DC to 500 Hz or 4 kHz.
  • High dynamic range achieved through use of 24-bit analog-to-digital converters (ADC).
  • Programmable microcontroller unit to permit end-user customization of data acquisition functions.
  • Synchronization of electrophysiological acquisition clock and MRI acquisition clock to improve gradient artifact removal.
  • Thoroughly tested at MRI field strengths of up to 7 Tesla.
  • Flexible amplifier cable and chassis configurations to allow compatibility with a multitude of coil and MRI bore configurations.
  • Optical USB communications system for simple and reliable digital data transfer to acquisition computers.
