The Martinos Center is a leading biomedical research institution whose mission encompasses both translational research and technology development. The core technologies developed and used at the Center are magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and spectroscopy (MRS), magnetoencephalography (MEG) and electroencephalograpy (EEG), diffuse optical imaging (DOI), positron emission tomography (PET), molecular imaging and transcranial magnetic stimulation. A particular area of innovation at the Center is Multimodal Functional Neuroimaging, which involves the integration of imaging technologies.
