Applicants should have a Ph.D. in engineering, physics or related discipline, and are expected to have a strong background in MRI with an interest in development of new pulse sequences for cardiovascular applications. Ongoing research areas include high resolution NMR spectroscopy and microscopy of tissue, high field mouse imaging and high field whole body MR.

Research will be conducted at the MGH/HMS/MIT Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging housing state of the art MR scanners including Siemens whole body 1.5 T Avanto, 3 T Allegra, 3 T whole-body Trio, and a 7 T large bore scanner in addition to 4.7 T, 9.4 T small animal horizontal bore and a 14 T vertical bore systems with the Bruker Avance platform.
