DESCRIPTION OF WORK / BIOSKETCH
Synopsis: Major focuses of my research have included
1) Development of a new fMRI imaging technique using exogenous contrast agent to dynamically measure changes in CBV. In models where this technique is available, the detection power far exceeds endogenous contrast at field strengths below 10 Tesla, so this is the preferred method for fMRI applications.
2 ) Application of this technique to study interesting questions of functional physiology in the brain.
3) Application of this method to study functional pharmacology.
