DESCRIPTION OF WORK / BIOSKETCH

My research interests and expertise revolve around brain mechanisms involved in pain control. I have performed clinical research studies where I used neuroimaging to investigate the neural correlates to different treatments for fibromyalgia pain and the role of psychiatric comorbidity. My line of research is currently focused on psychological influences on pain regulation, in particular placebo analgesia.
