DESCRIPTION OF WORK / BIOSKETCH

I am a research assistant and recruiter for a project that seeks to measure oxygen delivery and consumption in the brains of infants. The project uses NIRS technology, which holds promise for providing non-invasive monitoring of brain health at babies’ bedside.

I am interested in the neuronal and cognitive underpinnings of theory of mind and empathic ability. Having been trained as a birth doula, I am also interested in birth experiences and the relationship between delivery mode and birth outcome.
