DESCRIPTION OF WORK / BIOSKETCH
My research interests lie in developing new MRI biomarkers and molecular imaging contrast agents for studying Alzheimer's Disease (AD) and brain tumors. In particular, we are studying the use of novel MRI vascular biomarkers to evaluate tumor response to different therapies in mouse brain tumor models. We are also investigating the utility of these MRI vascular biomarkers for the early detection of AD. Finally, we are developing RNA aptamer probes of A-beta for the detection of amyloid plaques and A-beta oligomers in transgenic mouse models of AD.
