DESCRIPTION OF WORK / BIOSKETCH
I study the interaction of neurotranmitters and neuronal activities, aiming for better understanding brain function. My major interest is the dopaminergic system, including the local dopamine receptor function and the relevant neuronal circuitry. To achieve such a goal, we employ pharmacological drug of dopaminergic ligands to investigate the brain response to such stimuli using MRI (pharmacological MRI, phMRI). Current study models include basic dopaminergic function, drug addiction, and acupuncture.
