DESCRIPTION OF WORK / BIOSKETCH
I have been using many of the tools currently available to cognitive neuroscientists(event-related potentials, functional MRI, transcranial magnetic stimulation, and, more recently, diffuse optical tomography) to elucidate the neural underpinning of visual cognition. Recent work has focused on the neural correlates of high-level aspects of visual cognition, including various top-down phenomena such as mental visual imagery and contextual effects in vision.
