DESCRIPTION OF WORK / BIOSKETCH
My research focuses on development of novel MRI techniques for assessing neurological diseases including acute stroke and tumor. Specifically, I have been investigating ischemic tissue metabolism oxygen and glucose status using pH and BOLD MRI. In addition, I am working on magnetization transfer (MT), chemical exchange saturation transfer (CEST) MRI to study MS and hemorrhage transformation. Moreover, I am interested in probing microscopic structures using diffusion MRI.
