DESCRIPTION OF WORK / BIOSKETCH

I received my BE degree in Electrical Engineering at University of New South Wales in Australia, and my doctorate at the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology (Speech and Hearing Bioscience and Technology Program) with a concentration in Signal and System Analysis. My doctoral dissertation focused on understanding how people utilize auditory spatial cues to segregate sounds in cacophonous environments (also known as the "Cocktail Party Problem"). My research interest is in applying multi-modal neuroimaging techniques (MEG/EEG and fMRI) to map the spatiotemporal dynamics of the cortical network involved in attending and analyzing the different acoustical signal in the auditory scene.
