DESCRIPTION OF WORK / BIOSKETCH
Dr. Jovicich works as the Project Manager of the overall Morphometry Biomedical Informatics Research Network project (mBIRN, www.nbirn.net). Dr. Jovicich's background is in MRI physics (Ph.D.) and neuroscience (3 year post doctoral training). As the Project Manager, he facilitates the forward progress on mBIRN Specific Aims and maintains cooperation with the BIRN Coordinating Center and other partner sites regarding all aspects of the mBIRN project. He also works closely with the other Project Managers from NCRR, Mouse BIRN, FIRST BIRN and any future BIRN Project Managers. As the Project Manager his goal is to ensure the most efficient utilization of resources and to facilitate the work of each of the domain experts (MR acquisition, software analysis tools, system administrators, database and network engineers). Dr. Jovicich is also an Investigator on Specific Aim 1 (Structural and Diffusion MRI acquisition calibration).
