Biosketch

David L. Perez M.D. is a member of the departments of Neurology and Psychiatry at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He has clinical and research interests in Functional Neurological Disorder (a.k.a. Conversion Disorder) including patients with psychogenic non-epileptic seizures, functional movement disorder and functional weakness (paralysis). Dr. Perez's research focuses on using advanced functional and structural neuroimaging techniques to better understand the neurobiology of patients with functional neurological symptoms. Dr. Perez works closely with Dr. Brad Dickerson and other colleagues at the Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging.

Dr. Perez is a member of the Cognitive Behavioral Neurology, Memory Disorders and Neuropsychiatry Units at Massachusetts General Hospital.
