On raising children

I don’t have any children. I wish I did. But it occurs to me that if you are going to have them, then you should raise them. If you don’t, if you let other people raise them for you, schools, teachers, peers, society, what have you, then you will probably get exactly what you deserve. So don’t complain when somebody else raises your children improperly for you. If you want it done right then you do it. Children are the most important resource humanity has and far too valuable to let someone else raise them.
