Neuroimaging Acupuncture on Brain Activity in Chronic low Back Pain

(NIH) P01AT006663 (PI: Rosen, Project 1 Leader: Napadow)

The central goal of this "Center of Excellence for Research on Complementary and Alternative Medicine" is to apply neuroimaging to explore the central mechanisms of acupuncture action in chronic low back pain (cLBP), a clinically significant disorder for which effective modes of treatment are currently lacking.

9/01/11 – 6/30/16

An fMRI study of expectancy on acupuncture treatment outcomes in knee OA

(NIH) R01AT005280 (PI: Gollub/Kaptchuk)
