Beijing, China (2002 - 2003)

After graduating from the New England School of Acupuncture in May of 2002, I decided that in order to begin to understand Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), you have to understand the cultural roots from which the medicine originated. This is what brought me to China.  Beijing has long been a center of TCM scholarship and clinical innovation in the contemporary, "socialist" China; so it is only natural that I have ended up ‘smack-dab’ in the epicenter of the Chinese medicine universe. This page will hopefully serve as a souped-up travelogue and diary of my internships and life in Beijing (September, 2002 – February, 2003). I will update it with pictures etc. periodically, so check back on occasion!
