MISCELLANEOUS CENTER OPERATIONS

Acknowledgements and Logos for Publications and Presentations

All users of the Martinos Center benefit from the technology developed by our NIH/NIBIB-funded P41 Regional Resource, the Center for Functional Neuroimaging Technologies (CFNT). The P41 Regional Resource funds the development of MRI and Optical Imaging hardware (including MR coils and optical imaging devices) and techniques, and data analysis methods and software for MR, MEG and optical imaging.

Hence, ALL published work resulting from research studies fully or partially undertaken at the Martinos Center must include formal acknowledgement, using the standardized language below, of support from NIBIB (specifically, grant number P41EB015896) and the Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging.

Many of the Center's imaging devices and computational facilities have been acquired with funds provided by the NIH Shared Instrumentation Grant and High-End Instrumentation Grant Programs (see full listing here). As a user of any of these imaging instruments, software or computer systems at the Martinos Center, you must also acknowledge use of these grants.
Please use the following language when acknowledging the Martinos Center and applicable NIH resource/instrumentation grants in all publications.

“This research was carried out in whole or in part at the Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging at the Massachusetts General Hospital, using resources provided by the Center for Functional Neuroimaging Technologies, P41EB015896, a P41 Biotechnology Resource Grant supported by the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB), National Institutes of Health. This work also involved the use of instrumentation supported by the NIH Shared Instrumentation Grant Program and/or High-End Instrumentation Grant Program; specifically, grant number(s) _____________.”

Finally, if you use software developed at the Martinos Center in your research, you are obligated to include in your publications references specific to the packages used (see references here).

All posters and slide presentations resulting from work performed at the Martinos Center are required to use the following approved logos and templates.

Author Address

In journal articles and other publications, the "Author Address" of Martinos Center authors should be listed as "Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging, Department of Radiology, Massachusetts General Hospital, Charlestown, MA 02129."

Libraries

The Chesler library on the second floor has an eclectic collection of imaging related titles for Center users to browse, borrow and contribute to. Some electronic libraries that our users also may have access to include the Harvard Medical eCommons and the MGH Treadwell Collection.

Projector

If you'd like to borrow the Center's projector for onsite presentations only, contact Deedee Correia
