COMPUTATION RESOURCES
GROUP COMPUTATIONAL RESOURCES
Each research group at the Martinos Center is responsible for buying
their own workstation to supply seats for the members of their
group to use as terminals to do analysis work. The IT Support Group
provides services to install and support CentOS LINUX (the supported
analysis operating system) on group workstations. We high recommend
getting Dell Precisions workstations and information on obtaining
these workstations is on our Quotes page.
The group workstations can be used to actually run analysis and store
data. However, we have computational clusters that can be used for
analysis (see below) and a high availability, high performance storage
cluster for storing data. Information on data storage is located on our
Disk Space page.
