Our postdocs are the best

The Martinos Center’s Paul Wighton and Caroline Magnain received Postdoc Recognition Awards in a ceremony held at MGH last night. We couldn’t be more excited for them.

The awards, presented by the Mass General Postdoc Association (MGPA), honor postdoctoral fellows who promote leadership, teamwork and collegiality – and who generally make MGH and the lab a better, happier place to work.

It’s no surprise, then, that Paul and Caroline – both from the Center’s Laboratory for Computational Neuroimaging – were nominated and ultimately chosen to receive the awards. Paul kindly offers his time to anyone in need, say the friends and colleagues who nominated him, and often entices lab members to gather outside of work for new and fun experiences, be it for a play or a movie or just to tromp around the city.

Caroline is similarly awesome, say her friends and colleagues. She is a hard-working postdoc whose commitment to getting the job done goes well above and beyond her research. And like Paul, she often instigates lab outings and encourages camaraderie among labmates, helping to bridge the gap between postdocs, research assistants, students and faculty.

Congratulations to both!
