files & formats

Most often, NIFTI files are used as input for image volumes and time series, for color files (e.g., p-values), and sometimes even for bitmaps (although ASCII overlays are used more extensively in fastmap). For most other files, the simplest way to determine file formats is to develop an analysis with the fastmap application and then write files from the program; this will later guide development of various files with a text editor if desired.
